ABSTRACTNGC 1300 is a classic barred spiral galaxy. It is 17 Mpc away and relatively face-on, with an inclination of about 35 degrees. Because of its size and inclination it is well-suited for a number of studies. True-colour CCD images from B, V and I imaging on the Isaac Newton Telescope.
