DESCRIPTIONMeteors, a comet and Orion: Three meteors frame the comet 46/p, seen as a green smudge. To the south-west is Orion, and to the north is the Pleiades. At the same time as the comets pass was the Geminids meteor shower, with meteors occurring as regularly as 120 meteors per hour. Credit: Thomas Davison.
