DESCRIPTIONThe Orion constellation is probably the most recognizable constellation in the sky. Known as the hunter or the giant, one can get lost observing its many interesting objects such as the Orion nebula (M42) below the Orions belt, the Horshead (IC 434) and Flame (NGC 2024) nebulas near Alnitak (the far left star in Orions Belt), the Barnards loop, an enormous structure made of hydrogen, or the Witch Head Nebula (IC 2118) on the bottom right near Rigel. This image was taken from the terrace of the INT using a Canon EOS 6D Mark I, and a Canon 24-70mm f4 L IS USM lens.
